  • UNU is NOT a typical university where many students come to study. It is more like a research institute and therefore does NOT provide undergraduate or graduate programmes for students.
  • UNU-FAP offers the financial assistance exclusively to the students studying at one of FAP Cooperating Universities in Japan. UNU-FAP is NOT involved in the application /admission into the Cooperating Universities. Therefore, if you wish to get in and be enrolled at one of FAP Cooperating Universities, you need to take an entrance exam of the university. Please contact the universities directly to find out what exams you need to take and in what languages they offer their programmes. UNU will NOT contact the Cooperating Universities on your behalf regarding their application/admission procedures.
  • UNU-FAP is NOT a full scholarship and thus the FAP financial assistance will only cover a part of tuition fee or other expenses in Japan. Students also must reimburse the fund to UNU while studying in Japan.
